I have been doing pretty good with the thought of Eli leaving that last few months, weeks, days. You Couldn’t Handle Me Even If I Came With Instructions Shirt! I surprised myself. I had a really good handle on it. I knew it was bittersweet, I knew it wasn’t the end of the world, I knew the mechanics of it, that it was the moment we all have in the finality of things changing and never going to be like it use to, when that lump comes in your throat when someone goes to kindergarten, passes, gets married, graduates, etc. So because I was able to focus on the logistics of it I wasn’t a hot mess.
