Some people will use you, and understanding their personal entitlement to what you have worked so hard for is liable to make one angry. Youknow, I understand a thief who’s desperate, or fearful. But what do you do when someone steals just because they don’t respect you. Like when I saw my sister who lived in a different state, and she made an ugly and angry face at me, thrusting out her hand and demanding her half of my divorce settlement. I had always worked, it wasn’t a big amount of money, and I’d never heard of anything like it before. Checking google, couldn’t find it either. We have to forgive and just move on. This is dangerous thinking for codependents and survivors of abuse but appropriate in most other circumstances. It comes down to how you look at it and your stage in healing. I am a survivor of domestic abuse as well as sexual assault. I never could find understanding in the sexual assault. However in healing from the domestic abuse I learned about my ex and the things that made him the way he is.
