I’m 45 years old and I have been labeled disabled for years, now starting this last fall I started to change that part of me. Even though my body is in pain 24/7 I’ve been in college earning a degree to become a Chemical Dependency Councillor. I watch theses and they help me and my husband who is in school with me at age 52. You are inspiring! I am recently divorced, a single mom of 3, nearly disabled and live in 24/7 pain. I quit college, when I was 19, to find what I really wanted to do, and ended up getting married and having babies instead. I’m going to be 40 in July, without a retirement in sight, since my ex-husband’s retirement, was supposed to be my retirement too. Now, I’m trying to figure out how to go back to school to become a drug and alcohol counselor, and eventually a marriage and family counselor. It’s all so overwhelming at times, but your comment gives me hope
