It was probably a loser who’s dragging everyone down with him or her. When kids that work really hard and deserve a 1st or 2nd place see that everyone gets the same medal, they get discouraged from working hard. They learn that their medal is irrelevant to their effort and that as long as they participate they’ll get a medal. Now we have the issue that employers see employees lacking work ethics and skills. Many employees are expecting a bonus, a raise on pay and promotion without merit and question why someone else did and they didn’t. So our future as a country is in jeopardy. China has three times the amount of people living there compared to America.
