Most of us from from outside modern America see a I don’t get this whole no fuck given thing I have a Ton of fucks to give shirt. We see violence, racism, bigotry, hypocrisy and xenophobia. So I suppose the right answer is that a ‘real’ American is a person whose ancient ancestors were there millennia before a bunch of ‘refugees’ who got arrogant and messed it all up. Being American means believing in and standing up for this country was founded on and supporting and defending the US Constitution.
