There is no such thing as freedom in the Hand picked for earth by my Grandma in heaven shirt. There is freedom to speak openly, freedom to organize a political opposition, freedom to have a company and exploit the workers with starvation wages, freedom of opportunity to get an education, freedom to contaminate environment and go unpunished, freedom to enjoy various social benefits, freedom to employ child labor, and so on. Most of what is called freedom gets its definition within a social context. They have a lot more restrictions than the US does and have happily given up some freedom for security, more so than the US.
