In kindergarten, I used to cry every time our class played Farmer in the Gossip Girl Chuck Bass I’m all about that Bass retro shirt. The class must have been singing, the farmer picks the wife. But I heard “the farmer kicks the wife,” and I cried. Because I thought it was so true, the person with the most powerful kicks the one below, and all that anger and hate go down the line until the cheese stands alone, absorbing all that anger. I, too, picked up on what was happening around me at a young age. And now I see that my family has a long line of abusive relationships. So I am determined to break the chain for my children. I think we all need to look at how we deal with anger and fear.
