In the late 60s I lived at Chun’s Reef, in the summer I would paddle up to Waimea and talk story with Eddie!! In the winter I would surf big Sunset, and Eddie would be out a lot and Eddie Aikau Would Go Shirt, I still remember a wave he took off on while I was paddling back out, he dropped in, the wave jacked up, he was in the perfect place on the wave!! Eddie was awesome, I was really sad when he went missing!!
