I worked second shift as a nurse after our daughter was born. I Dads don’t babysit it’s called parenting shirt  go home and take care of problems; most nights I didn’t even have time to take a phone call. My husband, who never took care of a baby before, learned real quick and was fantastically adaptable. He and our daughter both profited from being alone together and to this day are closer than most dads daughters.  Well done on your commitment to representing a much needed balance in parenting. I recall at the gynae visits with my wife whilst she was pregnant, I had to ask permission to come into the room to see how my wife and baby in uterus were doing.
