While I agree with you, in general, in reality it’s not like that, but sometimes, in some cases, it actually is like this, or even stranger. I know it’s hard to imagine, but there are scenarios that are really, weird and sometimes weird in a stupid way. Rarely happens but doesn’t mean it doesn’t. There are often unfortunate situations that can lead to a break up. Thus creating a “the one that got away” person. This Beer and wine Christmas tree shirt probably implies to that kind of Ex. The one that still holds your heart after many years especially without proper closure. I can relate to the feeling.  I relate to that feeling as well, but I also strongly believe everything happens for a reason and as we evolve.
